We mourn the loss of Prof Dr J\u00fcrgen Jensen and Prof Dr Brigitta Hauser-Sch\u00e4ublin.<\/p>\n
Prof. Hauser-Sch\u00e4ublin passed away on 5 June 2025 at the age of 80. In addition to her work at the Institute of Ethnology at the University of G\u00f6ttingen, Mrs Hauser-Sch\u00e4ublin was Chairwoman of the DGSKA (then the German Society for Ethnology) from 1999-2001. You can find an obituary here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Prof Jensen (1938-2025) died on 6 June 2025 in Hamburg. He had been a professor at the Institute of Ethnology (formerly the Department of Ethnology) there since 1979.
