We mourn the loss of Prof Dr Jürgen Jensen and Prof Dr Brigitta Hauser-Schäublin.
Prof. Hauser-Schäublin passed away on 5 June 2025 at the age of 80. In addition to her work at the Institute of Ethnology at the University of Göttingen, Mrs Hauser-Schäublin was Chairwoman of the DGSKA (then the German Society for Ethnology) from 1999-2001. You can find an obituary here.
Prof Jensen (1938-2025) died on 6 June 2025 in Hamburg. He had been a professor at the Institute of Ethnology (formerly the Department of Ethnology) there since 1979. An interview with him about his career and life can be found here.
